Good time

Ava acting silly

Part of the tent - I bought a Happy 4th of July banner but we put a piece of paper that says 3rd over the 4th. LOL

The girls playing with the balloons we put out.

Wow, we had an amazing turnout last night for the block party. We kinda thought 30 adults might come - turned out there were about 65 adults and probably 30 kids. All but 3 houses showed up for the party and actually a couple who were getting ready to move in later this month came as well. We had tons of great food, great fun and great fellowship.

Highlight of the night were the fireworks. There is a family in our neighborhood who just moved here from Long Island, NY. Apparently you can't buy fireworks in NYC so they are VERY into buying and lighting since they moved here a few months ago (much to their immediate neighbors disappointment). But, here were Steve and JD bringing out there stuff and this little high school boy had a back pack filled with mortars (hopefully we don't hear about him on the news in a few years - LOL). At one point JD, Steve and Collin were getting brave with putting on their show and letting several off at the same time - well, one of the tubes fell over and a rocket soared over JD's head, another one hit his car and another one went over the fence behind the model home and went off inside this barn. We were waiting for the barn to go up in flames, but thankfully it didn't. They toned down their show after that. LOL
